I would seriously reconsider changing your name. At 18, you are likely to pick something that you might not care for later on. Why not just try choosing a nickname for yourself that you think suits your personality, instead of legally changing it? That way, 7-10 years down the road when you realize you like your original name after all, it's easy enough to change back.



Summer? Scarlet? Very trendy right now (especially Scarlett), and just because you like the idea of them now doesn't mean you will still like it when you are 26. I imagine that most of the names people loved when they were teenagers are not the names they ended up using for their children 10-15 years later.
