I was thinking of naming my baby either Niki not Nicole just Niki, or Jamie. But im leaning towards Niki. Thanks to all who answer.

I don't like it as a first name. I know you don't want to name her Nicole, but if you wanna call her Niki, it'd be tacky if you didn't. What is it going to look like when Niki fills out a job application? It'll look too babyish. Anyway, I like Jamie better than Nicole/Niki anyway.

The name Niki looks like a prostitute name, to me.
I'd stick with Nicole or Nicolette :)! Niki alone is bad, but the nickname is alright. Used to have a friend with that as a nickname.
Jamie is a cool nickname for a name, but alone, it's not as great.

I really dont like Niki. It doesnt seem like a real name to me, and what if your daughter wants to be like a mayor or lawyer or doctor or something when she is older. Niki just sounds like a nickname and childish so i would name her Nicole so she has something to fall back on just in case.

Nicknames as full names always sound downmarket to me, and Niki as a full name is no exception sorry. I only like it as a nickname for Nicole or Nicola.

no, not really, its really overused (10 nicoles in my grade, 7 of them went by Niki), and it really doesnt sound that good to me, its not very feminine and is just rough and harsh sounding.

The name Niki is actuallly a full name, not a nn, in Greece and among Greek people in English-speaking countries, as the name means 'victory' and is represented by the statue of winged victory on the Acropolis. I like the name and know many successful young women named Niki.
