My wife and I want to name our son Graham David Nash but my wife is worried that he will be made fun of his entire childhood and called cracker. I knew a guy named Graham when I was a kid and I don't ever remember anyone calling him cracker. And I think as far as bad nicknames go that kids can give someone...Cracker isn't all that bad. As a side note, do you think naming him Graham Nash is something to be worried about? I personally love Crosby Stills Nash & Young, so it doesn't bother me. What do you all think? My wife's about to say no to Graham forever!

I don't think the name Graham by itself will get made fun of. It's very classy, old-fashioned, and rarely used.

However say it out loud: Graham Nash. They're both one syllable and have the "a" as in apple sound in the middle. Though I like the first and last name, they just don't sound well together.

Hope this helps!

I think Graham is a nice name. I knew a little boy who had a friend named Graham. One day he came up to me and said, Miss Dana there's a cracker in my class. I was shocked that a child would call someone a cracker so I asked him, what do you mean Ian? And he responded with his name is Graham! LoL this child was only 4. So you may find that people call him cracker or Graham cracker. But I really don't think it's so bad.

I would agree Graham is a no go. It's a nice name actually but I would bet he would get teased. In fact whenever I see the name Graham I want to mention something about the crackers or "being sweet like the snack" My friend's last name is Graham and all her life she was asked if she was related or is she just as tasty.

Crosby is better, when I think of Crosby I think of the Bing Crosby. Stills I don't care for makes me think of something negative, too still, fake, no movement...still-birth. David works better and probably the best sounding name you have up there.

There are other names, if you're interested I like these:

Richard

Jasper

Jayden

Riker

Rily

Willian

Alexander

Payton

Ayden

Ethan

Allen

I really like the name Graham. I'm sure he will get called Graham Cracker... but really is it that bad? There could a lot worse.

Crosby is ...ok in my book. He also would get called Bing Crosby.

No matter what children will find some kind of nickname for every name.

yeah suggestion, find another name from a different band to use. Graham is a little make-fun-of material. (like mine- Robyn... been teased all my life for that stupid song and Robin Hood).. so I know what that's like.

how about John David Nash or something like that? I wanted to use Frehley Nichole for my girl, but my fiance won't go along with it. He's stuck on the Staind song Zoe(y) Jane lol.

ok here is a good suggestion: you choose two names (you got to choose David and Nash) let her choose the first name. It's only fair.
