i know that it means "my beloved" in italian.
i like it cuz Cara is a name and Mia is a name and it flows so nicesly togehter.
i've always loved the song "Cara mia" and when i was really little when i'd watch the addams family i always through that morticia's name was actually Cara Mia cuz thats what gomez would always say to her and start kissing up her arm.
i think i'd have it be all the first name vs Cara being the first name and Mia being the middle name.

so what do you think?

although being a very good expression i dont think its very fun for the kid when she gets to school, although such problems can be overcome and she might even adore the name later on......

so, i vote for no. sorry. but both cara and mia by themselves are very pretty names.

I honestly find it hard to think of it as a name because the meaning is so obvious and it's just a literal translation unlike other names. I think it would be better to make Cara the first name and Mia the middle

I don't think it flows at all. They both end in the same sound, so it sounds really blunt and stunted. I would definitely go with Cara Mia (first and middle name) even though they still don't flow that way. I don't think it works as a full name at all, though.

I prefer it Kara, since it sounds even more prettier and girly. But Cara with a C is a dislike for me.

I can't imagine Cara-Mia being the boss of an international corporation. I think you're limiting your daughter's future potential with such a baby name. She won't always be teeny tiny and when she travels in Italy people will think she's vain.

That used to be (maybe it still is) a brand of canned artichoke hearts.

If your kid is authentic Italian, but if not, then I don't think it would work.

if she ever goes to Spain she will hate you forever and ever, it means "my face", very bad... and it doesn't look good at all... i think
