Suggestions, which is your favorite name out of these, and opinions?

Ok so Im going to be an uncle from my wife's side for the first time in about a week's time. We are all South African. The father of the baby boy is an Afrikaner and the mother is (English speaking) South African. They asked my wife and me for the naming but both of us are (English speaking) South Africans. They asked us for opinions and other suggestions. Frankly I cant think of suggestions for other names because I dont know many Afrikaans names. The list they have so far is

Ettienne (pronounced Et-tee-enn)

Oh yeah their last name is De Villiers.
People are welcome to give their opinions and suggestions but I think it will be easier for Afrikaners. Thanks in advance.

Although they Afrikaans, SA has become very English now and also most universities and schools are now english.



Dont think you should give the child that heavy afrikaans name and then the english people cant pronounce it properly you know.



Ettiene and Charl, nice mix of both worlds you know and will be pronounced the same in both languages.
