So we really like Eddie for a boy but not sure if its that strong as a full name. Edison is the only 'Ed' name that we really like but still prefer Eddie.
Our daughters are Bethany, Veronica (Ronnie) and Willow.
Which one do you prefer?
Thanks in advance!

Edison, Eddie as a nickname. Imagine when he's older and has a job, "Hi, I'm Eddie." No. It's too babyish. Ed is nice and more grown up. If you call him Edison he can be Edison, Eddie and Ed! :)

Edison and Archer sounds nicer as he'll have the option to use it when he is more formal situations. You can still call him Eddie. I love the thought of Eddie and Archie! So cute :) good luck!

I always think that everybody deserves a proper formal name, that can be shortened to a nickname if desired, but if you start off with a nickname then your child has no choices.
Eddie is too informal and casual, it's a nickname!
What's wrong with Edward? It's strong and masculine. Edison is ok and Archer is ok too.

Edison is a nice name, and I think it sounds lovely alongside Bethany, Veronica and Willow. Of course you can still call him Eddie for short. ''Ed'' sounds kind of silly in my opinion.
