I don't like Rain so much but I have had two friends name their little girls Rainey and I think that that is VERY pretty.

Keep in mind though, that it is YOUR decision....don't let anyone's opinion on a name you fall in love with affect you!!

GOOD LUCK

I actually like Rain as a name. I think it's very serene, very natural. Maybe you should go with a different spelling, though, since it is a name. Something like Rayne or Raine would definitely work and make it even more unique.

I'm not generally a fan of unusual names, but I will say that I love Rain! I considered it for my daughter.

ever heard of the song/ryhme: "Rain, rain, go away...."

I don't personally think that Rain is agood name for a child, neither are months, seasons, or any imanimate object, such as Apple.

but it's ultimatly your decision.

Yups. It's a nice name!

I've heard of Raine, Rainy & for short you can call her Rai (Ry).

Sounds fine by me

as long as she doesn't grow up and marry someone with the last name of Storm !!

Then she'll have to name HER children

Thunder--Lighting--and Wind

I think its pretty. I went to high school with a girl named Rainy though...it was kinda cool because it was different.

Good Luck!

It sounds like a stripper to me actually, sorry. This name really reminds me of the 90's too. I don't care for it.

Um, I think it's a bit strange. Don't you think she'll get made fun of? It's like naming your child "Snow" or "Hail" - just a bit odd. Just something to think about.

ooh, I think that's great! have never heard it before or thought of it, but love it.

however, it's very melancholy. but atmospheric. you could also use 'Rainey' as a nickname or other version of it which is very pretty.
