Question:
Boys name Riley... Middle name suggestions?

We just found out we are preggy with a BOY!! Thinking it was a girl all this time we had it narrowed down to two girls names... Now we need help. I miscarried last May and was going to name the child Riley regardless of the sex after my grandmother who was such a part of my life. I had Riley Joseph picked out. But I and not sure i like it. Hubby is unsure as well. I have a 2 year old little guy named Brody William. I want it to go well with his name. I do love Riley Liam (a form of William which is also daddy's middle name). I think t would be cool naming both sons after their daddy as well. Is it? Or should I pick something totally different? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think you should give him at least one original name instead of all of his names being after someone else.

I like the name Riley Liam and I see nothing wrong with naming both sons after the father in some way afterall the name you picked out is different than the other son's.

My best friend has a Riley and his name is Riley James which does sound nice together.

I say if YOU love a name....go for it!

I think you should choose a different middle name cause I think it would be weird to name both of your son's after the father. Here are some middle name ideas.

Riley Robert

Riley Patrick (sounds pretty cool)

Riley Ian (sounds pretty cool)

Riley Landon

Riley Jacob (sounds pretty cool)

Riley Tate

Riley Aaron

Riley Jordan

Riley Everett

Riley Cooper (sounds pretty cool)

Riley Preston

Riley Jaden

Riley Steven

Riley Cameron

Riley Jay

Oh we were thinking of naming Jackson Liam!! I love Riley Liam. So cool! I think you should do Riley Liam. I also agree with the male poster below me that Liam Riley is super cute too. I just love the name Liam a lot though, so either way is good.

In the end it is your choice what to name your children. I do not know any boys/guys named Riley however I do now 3 girls, so that makes me think it is more of a womens name then mans. Also, think of when the kid it growing up. Telling people he was named after his grandma, just sounds strange to me. Do what makes you happy. By the way I think Liam is a cool name.

To play with Brody's middle name:

Riley James

or Riley George.

William is a traditional name, so is James and George.

Congrats.

I like Riley Liam. I think that naming both your boys after their daddy, is very sweet.

My hubby and I have Riley Robert picked out for whenever we have a son. So there is another option for you.

All in all, it is up to you and your husband, and you two have to go with what you like.

Congratulations!

I like the name Riley. My friend had a baby on Nov. 5th and she named hers Rylee Kain. He's a beautiful child.

Although I'm not to sure I like the middle name Liam. I've never heard of it before. I do like the middle name Joseph, Kain, William, Andrew, Matthew, Ray, James, or even Anthony.

My belief is that they should have their own and be individuals, not feel like they are competing for their names. I always picked out 2 full names, completely different and when the baby was born I took one look at him/her and knew which one it should be....my sister did the same thing with my nephew (she did it based on hair color and skin tone, since we have both very light and mid tone complexions and dark and blonde hair in our family...if he was dark with dark hair his name would be Isaiah, if light and light hair it would be Nicholas....he is extremely light with dirty blonde/reddish hair and freckles...Nicholas it was and also fits well) and it has worked to their personalities also.

James, Alexander, Curtis, Evan, and Jay are a few of the ones I can see going with Riley (which I love :-) by the way!)

That would be cool to have them both named after their dad! Usually its just the first son. This way they would both share his name.
