William: I usually prefer more unusual names, and William is extremely popular, but in my mind, my first born son has always been named William. It's strong and masculine with a lot of nickname potential, and will please a lot of members of my family. I'd use Will or Willie as a nickname.

Sebastian: Sebastian is a fairly new addition to my list, but I am in love with it. It's old fashioned and slightly quirky, but I can picture it on any age and any proffesion. I love the nickname Seb for a child or teenager.

Arthur: I adore the name Arthur. It sounds a little out of place with my other names, but I could probably get away with using it. It's cute and fits in well with the growing trend of naming babies old-fashioned names. Arthur would work well on a young child, and when he's an old man, and Art would make a good nickname for when he's a teenager and adult.

Regina: Regina has been on my list since I started listening to Regina Spektor, when I was about 12, but it's always been kind of in the middle. I've recently rediscovered my love of it, and it's taken place at the top of my list, ahead of my former favourite girl name, Imogen, which has been at the top for 2 years. I'd use Regi or Genie as a nickname.

Imogen: I've loved the name Imogen for years. I was born and raised in Britain, and it's fairly popular there, but since I've moved to Canada, it's pretty much unheard of, but that hasn't put me off using it. It sounds Celtic, but is still cute. I love that Shakespeare invented it. I'd use Immy as a nickname.

Eloise: Eloise is probably joint third with a few other names, but I'd most likely use this one. It's not too popular, but it is similar in sound to a lot of other popular names. It's cute and feminine without being too frilly. I'd use Elle or Lola as a nickname.

BQ: Francis, Ernie, Barnabas and Archer for boys, Genovefa and Tallulah for girls.

Boys:

Richard - It is the most beautiful name I have ever heard! I can't describe how beautiful I find it.

Ewan - It's a family name that I've come to love.

Meredith - I think it's a gorgeous, sweet, gentle name for a boy! (It was originally a male name, by the way, so it's not that strange that I love it for a boy.)

Girls:

Adelaide - It's definitely the most beautiful girl's name I've ever heard. And I love that it's old fashioned!

Isannah - It's very soft and beautiful, and it starts with an "i", which I find attractive in female names.

Miranda - It was my first favourite name for a girl, and I still quite like it.

BQ: Newest names on my "interesting names" list:

Hallan for a boy and Hosannah for a girl. I seem to like "H" names at the moment. I don't like either of them enough to ever use on a child, though.

This is easy, I just decided on my top 3 for each gender this week.

Girls:

Ava Pinkney (Pinkney is my mum's maiden name and the side of the family I take after)

Paige Isabella (Isabel is a family name and my dog is called Bella so wanted to have a little bit of her in the name).

Mia Charlotte (Charlotte is my sister's name and if she wasn't called that I would have used Charlotte as a first name)

Boys:

Jackson Berkeley (Berkeley is a family name again and I like how it's the name of a famous university)

Hunter James (James - Just a nice boy's name I like)

Max William (William is my late Grandad's first name)

Lately I have also considered using Ivy Leah ( Leah after a special friend of mine and my favourite singer).

I love middle names which have a meaning!

My favorite boy names are:

Ezra

Ezekiel

Elijah

As you can probably guess I have a thing for "E" names and especially biblical ones. They just sound like good strong names to me.

My favorite girls names are:

Annabelle (feminine, sweet, and I love "Anna" names)

Lucy (also feminine and sweet plus I think it sounds like a very independent and stable person)

Harlow (I think it is a little unique without being weird & it sounds pretty)

BQ: Some of the new names I'm thinking of adding to my list are:

Kiah (pronounced KEY-AH like the car brand, I like it because it is short & sweet and uncommon)

Inez (I don't hear it a lot but everyone I've meet with the name is beautiful, smart, & kind)

I'm not sure whether you mean single names or full names, but I'll do full names because I get to talk about more names :P

Girls:

Matilda Eilidh Joyce - I've loved Matilda for such a long time, and I adore the nickname Millie for it. Eilidh is the gaelic version of Helen which honours my Nana, and Joyce is my mother in law's middle name.

Elaina Ruby Alice - I love the name Elaina, mainly because I could call her Lainey. I just think it's a really cute name. Ruby is gorgeous and I like it because it's the birthstone of July and our family has a lot of July connections. Alice is my great grandmothers name and I just think it's gorgeous.

Susanna Genevieve Ruth - This name combo has moved up to third only yesterday, after I found a nickname I loved for Susanna - Sunny. Susanna, Genevieve and Ruth are such gorgeous names and I think they combine together to make a fabulous combo.

Boys:

Jasper Stephen James - We fell in love with the name Jasper about a year and a half ago I think, and it's just worked it's way right up our list to sit at number 1 or 2. Stephen and James I love because they honour my father and father-in-law.

Tobias Loki Edmund - I've loved Tobias since I can remember liking names and I love the nickname Toby. Loki is a name I've wanted to use for a long time to honour my heritage, and Edmund honours my grandfather.

Nicolas William Kyle - I don't actually have this exact combo on my list, but if my husband liked it, I'd love to use it. Nicolas is a name I've loved for ages and it used to be my husband's favourite name before he found Jasper. William is adorable and classic and it honours my uncle. Kyle is my husband's middle name.

BQ: Keturah, Veronica, Jemima, Tabitha, Arcadia, Asher, Bennett, Grey, Julius & Klaus

♂ Dexter Gabriel Jude.

⇢ I adore the name Dexter, I think it has a really geeky charm to it and I think it's such an underused name because of this. Gabriel and Jude are just two handsome names that I really like.

♂ Finley Atticus Jonah.

⇢ I always used to hate the name Finley but after hearing it more and more it really grew on me and is now one of my favourites. I adore the name Atticus but feel it's a little unusual to be a first name and I find Jonah so incredibly handsome and masculine.

♂ Theodore Xavier Charles.

⇢ I adore the name Theodore, I think it's masculine and strong but has a softer, more delicate side to it as well. I just find something intriguing about the name Xavier and although Charles isn't actually a favourite of mine I think it works and really like it as part of this combination.

♀ Hermione Adeline Violet.

⇢ Hermione is a name I've recently begun to appreciate, I know people do and will associate it with Harry Potter but I just find it so seductive and regal. I find Adeline and Violet add a softness to the [potentially] harsher Hermione and I just find them to be such pretty and sweet names.

♀ Matilda Isobel Alice.

⇢ I have always adored the name Matilda, it's the only name that I have consistently loved throughout the years. Isobel, although it and all the variations of it is incredibly popular I can't help but love it and Alice is just so classic and gorgeous I had to use it.

♀ Milena Beatrix Ivy.

⇢ A lot of people I know really dislike the names Milena and Beatrix but I find them both to be rather quirky and fun. I find Ivy so sweet and rather cutesy so I love how the names balance each other out.

BQ;

[Have added]

♀ Hermione.

♀ Rosalind.

♀ Lilia.

♀ Amity.

♂ Miles.

♂ Frederick.

♂ Archer.

[Considered adding]

♀ Cassia.

♀ Leila.

♀ Poppy.

♂ Morgan.

♂ Micah.

♂ Silas.

Girls:

Alexis- It's one that I've recently added, but I think that it's just feminine enough and not extremely common.

Taylor- This one is a bit more masculine, in my opinion, but I think it's cute.

Brooklyn- I like this one with just one 'n' on the end, like the city(: This would make it slightly more unique.

Boys:

Michael- A good, strong name that probably won't go out of style any time soon.

Seth- Not too common, but masculine and in style.

Connor- A new addition to my list, but this one is more young sounding.

BQ: Evelyn. I like it because it's a bit older, and I like older, but fashionable names. Also, the kid could just go by Eve, if they wanted to. But I'm still not too keen on that(:

girls:

Anicet - according to my google searches, this is actually a french boy's name, but I think something about it is very feminine. Strong, definitely (which is one of the reasons I love it), but still a girl's name (of course, the french would disagree with me, but luckily I'm not french so it doesn't really matter).

Elle - This name makes me think somehow of princesses, but in a non-pink (and fluffy) way. It seems like the owner of this name would be someone very headstrong and have an incredible imagination, but also be at peace with themselves, which is something I'd wish for anyone.

Annick - this is a form of Anna which I like for both it's originality and just how it sounds. Another girl's name that seems strong and yet still pretty.

boys:

Rowan - I found this name in a book once and immediately fell in love with it. I don't know if I'd actually name a child this merely because of the possibility of bad nicknames (rowin' etc) but I love the name all the same.

James (Jamie) - I tend to go for less-traditional names, but I've always loved the name James for some reason. Something about it just seems very dashing and interesting to me in a way that most traditional names don't. I also like the nickname Jamie for a child as long as they wanted to use it - it seems sort of cute and british to me.

Remi - another French name, but this one I like more for the softness and understanding that it seems to elude than the strength. I guess it's strong, but more quietly.

BQ: Aven, for a girl. I'm not quite sure about it, but it's growing on me.

For a Girl:

LONDYN: I really like the name because it sounds really pretty, and it has a nice flow to it!

COSETTE: It is REALLY pretty, and As you might be able to tell, I like unusual names. I'm French (adopted) so I think the name Cosette would be nice for a girl I might have.

JULIE: I think it is a really beautiful name, and old fashioned. Although, I would name a girl Julie with my last name, which is Capulet. That would be awful... :(

for a boy:

BEN: Personally, I LOVE unusual names, so ben could be short for anything, like Benqueln (That's a name!) or Benjamin, or a name I would never name my child because of my last name, despite how pretty i think the name is: Benvolio. Those names all have something to do with power.

MERCER: I had a best friend who was named mercer. He died from cancer a year ago... we said if we ever got married and had kids the child would be named Mercer Jr. R.I.P. Mercer... :(

MAXWELL: I think it is one of the most beautiful names ever.

BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE OF EACH:

Mercer for a boy

Londyn for a girl
lotta - :)

--Girls--

Dahlia Ruth [Lia]- Dahlia is a name that I have always loved, but recently fell back in love with. I love the nickname Lia for it and it's a unique flower name. Also with my slightly morbidness, the connotation with the Black Dahlia appeals to me. Ruth was my Grandma's middle name and I have always wanted to use it, I also love the book of Ruth in the Bible.

Calliope Janine [Allie]- Calliope has always been appealing to me. I love the ecclecticness of it, it seems artsy and creative. I also love the nickname Allie (The Notebook is "our" movie). Janine is his middle name pick. He's a Ghostbusters fanatic, and Janine is the name of their secretary haha. And since I love that he loves that movie as much as he does, I can't deny him of it.

Margot Mae [Maggie]- I have always had a thing for the name Margaret, but as I grew up and found it's relative "Margot", it seemed more suitable to me. I absolutely adore the nickname Maggie and using Mae as a middle name, making her Maggie Mae (one of my favorite songs), it just sounds whimsical, sing songy & southern to me.

--Boys--

Atticus Emedio- Atticus is a name that we discovered that we both loved, probably 2 weeks into our relationship & it's just stuck. We both love To Kill A Mockingbird & with me being a lover of law & books, it is the perfect boy name to me. I also love the slightly Irish feel and sound of it. Emedio was his Pop pops name and I love how extremely Italian it is.

Sidney Wren [Sid]- While Sidney seems to be a widely chosen female name, it has always sounded masculine to me, especially with the nickname Sid. Wren also being widely known as feminine, seems masculine to me also. I love the combination together & so does he :)

Liam Oliver- Liam is a shortened version of my Daddy's name, William. I have always liked the connection to it. Oliver is just a name that I have always loved. I love the book "Love Story" also, so that connotation helps quite a bit.

BQ: Tesla is a name that I thought of for a girl one day and I am absolutely in love with it. My geeky side adores the music made with Tesla coils haha, and being able to teach her about that seems amazing to me. Declan Joel is the boy name that we've been trying to work into our favorites. I love Declan and have been trying to convince him of it for years. Luckily when I thought to pair it with Joel (he loves Billy Joel), he fell in love with it.
