Question:
What do you think of the name Faye?

I actually quite like it and it is under used.

Not sure how it sits as a first name with me but I love it as a middle name.

What first name do you think would work with it?

Also what do you think of the name Faith?

My husband prefers that but I think it sounds more like a pets name or something.

Which do you prefer out of Faye and Faith?

I love it.

It is much much much much better than Faith. I agree with you it reminds me of a dog.

Faye is so underused and under rated.

Suggestions:

Mia Faye

Bella Faye

Summer Faye

Scarlett Faye

Heck it will almost go with any name.

I like the name Faye better because it is unique, underused, and just totally awesome to spell. :D

Using it as a first name is fine. It's all because it's not a "normal" name that some people think it to be an ugly or unusual name.

Faith is the kind of name that comes with those "invisible" responsibilities. It's like naming your kid "Hope" and sometimes kids think they have to "live up to their name". And honestly, it's an overused name that I think cliche. It's not a bad name, but it's just too common.

You can try these other first names to Faye like so:

Tamia Faye

Kylie Faye

Danielle/a Faye

Patrica Faye

Haley Faye

Cynthia Faye

Carla Faye

Heather Faye

Loraina Faye

I disagree. i think it's overused. Course this over use is mostly regional ( i live in the south). Rae, Faye, Mae and Kay are over used here.

Faye to me sounds too hick. i dislike it.

I like Faith as a middle name, not a first. Faith is not a pet name to me, Lucy, Angel, Kenzie, Ginger, Peggy, etc. would be pet names to me.

I prefer Faith to Faye, but honestly wouldn't use either. short middles i like:

Elise

Joy

Hope

Rose

Violet

Shaye

Claire

Saige

Fiona

Fleur

and

Paige

edit:

Tammy Faye Bakker-Messner, was a religious NUT televangelist that wore enough make-up for a thousand people, she died in 2007 from Cancer. People say though that she was a very sweet and loving woman.

I think youre right about Faye being a nice middle name. If you are using it as a middle name, how about Abigail Faye? you could call her Abby. :-)

I like Faith as a first name, but not as much for a middle name.

Reminds me of Tammy Faye Baker which isnt a good thing but i suppose no one will have remembered her by the time she grows up.

A good name otherwise and I dont hear it often .

I love Faye!!!

It works better as a middle name though because it's only one syllable.

I think that Middle names should be only one syllable and first names should be at least two or three.

What about Cecily Faye? I think it's a great name!

I think that Faith is gross, no offense. I hate names like that...... Faith.... Hope.... Joy

It is wierd that they have meanings. I don't like them.
