I am starting to really, REALLY like the name August for a girl.

1) I am after some nickname ideas, not just Gus and Auggie...maybe be more creative?!
2) Middle names ideas to go with August

BQ: You have triplet girls later today...what do you name them and why?

Thanks, Happy Sunday!

1) Maybe Gust, Gusty or Gussie, Austa/Asta, even maybe Augusta? Also Awst (Welsh) or Lúnasa (Irish).

You might even use the month's symbols: Peridot, Onyx, Poppy, or Gladiolus.

2) Middle name ideas...

August Bianca

August Claire

August Danae/Danielle

August Eloise

August Giselle

August Heloise

August Isobel

August Joelle

August Lenore

August Melisande

August Noemi

August Odessa

August Rose

August Sophia

BQ: If I had triplet girls later today I would name them...

Maewen Grace - Maewen I read in a book, and liked it. Grace was my gma's maiden name.

Doveva Joelle "Dovie Jo" - My great-great-aunt's name was Dovie, Doveva is Hebrew for 'graceful' and has Dovie as a nickname; I thought both the name and nickname were cute and pretty. I love Jo for a nickname (like in 'Little Women') and the bf like Joelle better than Jolene (*sigh* If I had my way it'd be Jolene, from a Weepies song). Dovie Jo just seems adorable to me.

Lorelei "Irie" Yvaine - Lorelei is a pretty and interesting name with cute nickname possibilities and it goes with Yvaine, which is also from a book ('Stardust'). Yvaine is also a smoosh of my mom and gma's middle names (Yvonne + Elaine = Yvaine).

You're welcome, and Happy Sunday to you too

Just from August, I can get:

Gussie

Aggie

If you pick a good middle name, you can use a nickname stemmed from that or a combination of the names!

August Sunday- Sunny

August Evangeline- Eva, Evie, Angel, Lina

August Divina- Divvie, Vinnie

August Arielle- Ari, Ellie

August Brynn- Brinny, Brynn, Bree

August Danielle- Dani

August Emilia- Em, Milly

BQ- Eden, Erin and Elise

Eden- the garden of Eden; a hope of a perfect world, and what better symbol than a baby?

Erin- my Yiddish-Irish grandmother's middle name (yes, I know, an interesting cultural combination)

Elise- after perhaps the most famous piece of music ever written- Fur Elise

1) Ast or Aust maybe? I always thought Auggie was quite cute though. Maybe Aug.

Auga. <

2) Middle names that go with August:

★August Arabella

★August Francesca

★August Saffia (or Saphia)

★August Matilda

★August Harmony

★August Ember

★August Brielle

★August Sierra

★August Briony (or Bryony: Bri-ah-nee)

★August Teagan

I think it would be really cool if you put the name of a place/town as her middle name. Like:

★August Lafayette (Louisiana)

★August Tacoma (Washington)

★August Aberdeen (Scotland)

★August Vienna (Austria)

3) Girl triplets huh? Probably Anastasia, Annabell and Aspen =]

I know your not really looking for opinions, but I find August a little masculine for a girl, probably due to August Strindberg, a writer. It's not terrible for a girl, though, I suppose.

"Aura" may work for a nickname, but I'm not sure.

August Juliet

August Olivia

August Caitlin

August Emily

August Emilia

August Aimee

BQ:

Frida Caitlin; Frida, in my opinion, is such a beautiful name and I love Frida Lyngstad of ABBA [go on, TD me for that, it doesn't bother me]. Caitlin is a form of my nanna's name, Kathleen [or vice versa].

Anna Cecilia; I just love both of these names.

Macy Lynn Elizabeth; I love the name Macy, Lynn is my mother's name and I think Elizabeth helps it flow.

Gusty? Aug? Not really a name that lends itself to nicknames.

BQ- Maria, Elena, and America. My mom's name is Maria, my bf's mom's name is Elena, and I love being American!
