My Great Grandfathers names were Allan Thomas, John Gordon and Jack. Im not too sure of Jacks middle name though.



I rang my Grandma to find out about the Great Grandparents, It was intresting to find out everything.



I was named after my Great Grandmother.

I can't remember Maud Mary (Polly's) parents' names although my mum did tell me . . . we have lots of 19th Century pictures of her family



My grandmother (Kathleen) was one of ten children - if I remember rightly their names were Gertrude, William, Walter, Frank, Kathleen, Arthur, George, Elinor Jane, Herbert and Mary.



Have no idea about my Paternal Great Grandparents as I never knew any of my dad's family . . .



My husband and I named our son Arthur which just happens to be my hubby's mother's father's name and also the name of one of my grandmother's brothers (who died in the war). My great grandfather (William Henry) also had a brother called Arthur, apparently . . .
