I am in love with two names Elizabeth and Cassandra I CAN'T settle on one of them. I thought of putting them together (Cassandra Elizabeth) but my husband says we have to use Jeannette (his grand mother's name) as the middle name. What do you do when you have two names you love ,but can only use one? What helps you decided which one to use? I ask my husband which one he likes he just says he doesn't care either one will work.

Use Elizabeth! It's so much nicer. Cassandra is silly and over the top. Elizabeth is a queen's name.

If you can't decide look at the nicknames that could be used for each and decide which is worse:

Elizabeth:

Elle (love), Liz (hate), Lizzy (hate)

Cassandra:

Cassie (horrible) Sandra (hate)

I'm weird, but I would ask myself, are there any negative connotations associated with either name? Meaning, was there ever a Elizabeth or Cassandra that you didn't like? Which of their respective nicknames (Liz, Cassie) do you like the least? That could help eliminate a name.

Think about possible nickname choices, mean names, others...I love Cassie as a nickname!! I dont really like Elizabeth...So Cassandra Jeanette FTW!

I would wait till you actually get to meet your baby and the decision I bet will be much more clear. She may be a Elizabeth (Izzie) or a Cassandra (Cassie)!

Rock, paper, scissors.

Your left hand is Elizabeth.

Your right hand is Cassandra.

My vote is on the name Larry.
