my boyfriend and i are expecting a baby boy in april. he has one child already-Cozette. (not from me). i really want the baby to have a name that doesnt start with a C, nor rhymes with Devon (the father's name). we want to pick a name together, and we are trying to make our own lists of personal favorites to compare....here's the problem:

i'm having a difficult time finding names that are not overused (john, james, anything older like that), and are relatively different-but not overly strange like Apple or Pear or something weird like that. what are some names? :) thanks for your help!!

First off, Cozette is cute, but I would spell it Cosette, sounding the same. My favorite girl names are Sophia, Lucy, and Bianca. They're older, but definately not overused. For boys I like Jordan, Derek, Ian, Tristan. Good luck!

I work with kids here are a couple I have come across:

Jordan, Boston, Demitri, Conner Cooper, Ewan, Xaviar, Julian, Lucas, Noah, Beau, Jamie, Joseph, Dominick, Deakin, Davey, Blake, Bennet, Max, Dustin, Bryton, Barry, Bon, Nathan, Issac, Tyler, Bailey, Ashley, Marc, Lachlan. (Lachie for short) Dylan Levi

Hope that helped or you could try putting a spin on a fairly common name by spelling it slightly different for example:

Bailey -> Baylee or Bailee

Conner_> Conna

Levi _> Levy

I know those are mostly translated boys to girls names but just 4 example. hope I could help GOOD LUCK.

I'm not going to give you any names because you might not like what I like. But I am going to direct you to this site that I just love.

http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html

You can click on just boy and type in any letter or name and it will tell you the popularity of the name.

Example: you can type in T and it will come up with all the names anyone ever used with the letter T.

Its a really neat site. Good luck and Congrats to you both!

Shouldn't be too hard to find something that doesn't start with a "C" or rhymes with Devon! I'll try to stay away names that are even remotely similiar!

How about:

Jace

Bryce

Seth

Brady

Parker

Levi

Elijah

Lucas

Drake

Jacob

Reese

Wyatt

Tanner

Elliot (Eli)

Shane

Grant

Ross

Hunter

Max

Zachary

Brock

Riley

Liam

These names I really like but they might be to close to Devon even though they don't rhyme:

Mason, Owen, Grayson, Logan, Quinn, Gavyn, & Jackson

Good Luck! SD

Cole is my favorite name for a boy that starts with a C. Evan is also a good one rhyming with Devin, David also sort of sounds like it. I have three friends named Devin, David, and Evan, and it gets so confusing at times.

i admire the call Cheyenne for a woman. yet naming a boy Cyrus is like naming a female Ursyla, there like from outer area or something. in addition to a boy ought to be named Hayden, that's what im gonna call my first boy & Breanna for a woman.
