Well I've love the nickname frankie for a girl. I absolutely love it!!! I wanted a name like Francesca or frances or something to do with it for the middle if you could help with the first and name suggestions that would be great! =] We also like bear as a nickname for a boy so if you think of one that would be great! =]

Also the last name is Nevius (knee-vus) so frances is a slight bit repetitive

I like Franseza (fron-SAY-zuh) or Francisca the best.

BJÖRN

I like Francesca, its really pretty, and Frankie is an awesome nickname for it. What about Francesca Linette Nevius, or Francesca Elizabeth Nevius?

(I do know a lady who's name is Frankie, its not short for anything, its just Frankie. but she had a lot of problems with it. She was almost drafted because everyone thought she was a guy lol)

Bear for a boy is just a little silly, sorry. Even as a nickname its just kind of ridiculous.

Frankie:

Frances

Francesca

Francine

Francisca

There aren't too many options here unless you resort to changing the spelling. A nickname doesn't have to reflect the legal name so Frankie could be her nickname without requiring Frances as her first name. Frances means "from France" so perhaps you could give her a French first name with the nickname Frankie? e.g. Aimee, Angelique, Gabrielle, Genevieve, Camille, Emilie, Marie, Anais, Mathilde etc.

Bear: (these all have "bear" meanings)

Arthur "bear"

Barrett "strong as a bear"

Bernard "brave as a bear" (variants - Bern, Bernal, Bernaldino, Bernardino, Bjorn)

Orson "bear-like"

Thorburn "thor's bear" (can also be Thorbjorn, Thorborne etc)

Francesca is very pretty, I love it as a first name! I'm SO bad at middle names!

Bear from man VS. wild's name is really Theodore. Theodore to Teddy -> Teddy to Bear. That's all I can think of.

no. franklin maybe but frankie not my cup of names. then later as he gets old enough shorten it to the nick name frank. its basic but at least its might give it a better feel. its just an opinion. there are other reasons to call him frankie though like significant value to the name. named after someone else who you admire. a family member etc. uncle nephew great grandfather father etc.

What about Francine for the girl?

Never heard of a boy being called bear but how about bernard? that could legitimately be shortened to bear.
